Primary Eye Care includes a comprehensive vision and eye health examination. This examination is designed to detect a wide range of problems affecting visual function, such as blurred vision or eye discomfort.
Evaluations for eye health disorders are also performed. This includes tests for glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration as well as the ocular effects from general health disorders (diabetes and high blood pressure) and medicinal effects. A dilated pupil examination allows us to provide the best assessment of eye health. However, one can decline the use of dilation drops if they choose.
The American Optometric Association recommends that all people should have a comprehensive eye examination every year.
